February Meeting I have had a few conversations this past month with the friendly folks at the Natural History Museum. The question each time has been the same; the answer each time has been different. I began the month thinking that we would gather in one of the "new" meeting rooms, which ultimately is our plan. I guess that won't happen yet. The next plan was to meet in the Annex. The final plan -- until this 3 o'clock this afternoon (Monday) -- was for us to meet in the 2nd floor reception area. The latest plan -- as of a few minutes ago -- is that we will indeed meet in the Annex after all. As some folks know, we planned to meet in the Annex last month as well. Actually we did meet outside the Annex, but could not get inside. After a bit of waiting and searching for someone to unlock the door, we finally caravanned to the Sparks' house to hold the meeting. Once again, Mary Lee and John's hospitality saved us from holding our meeting out in the cold. I have been assured that this time the Annex will be open it time for our meeting. For those who are not familiar with the Museum layout, the Annex is across 18th street, east of the main Museum building. Meeting time 7:30 pm, tomorrow (Tuesday the 1st) night. |
