Instead of the usual meeting time and place, this month we will have a potluck dinner 6:00 on Thursday, the 18th, at Ellen Reed's house. Ellen will make a tasty potato salad. Members should bring drinks and a side dish. If guests would like to bring some meat, there will be a grill. It would also help to bring some chairs. Family members are welcome, but small children should be kept on a leash so they don't eat Ellen's goldfish. Please call Ellen to let her know if you are coming (ie RSVP).
Bart Clennon suggested that we might have some shirts silk-screened with a NMMS logo. This would be a good topic of discussion at the upcoming meeting.
The first field session at the Pecos National Historical Park (Pecos Monument) is scheduled for Friday, July 20th (the day after this month's meeting). Participants will meet at the Pecos Monument headquarters by 10:00. Any members who have not yet offered to participate call still call Pat Brannen
NMMS expresses appreciation to secretary Vicky Cibicki for her enthusiastic dedication to the society. Vicky will be moving away from New Mexico and NMMS next month. We will miss her. This leaves us without a secretary for the rest of the year. Any volunteers?
